Whispering palms

We had a lovely relaxing time here. I threw a stone from the luxury villa and it landed in the ocean to prove how close it is. We say around 30 turtles snorkeling one day, absolutely amazing. Staff were all great. Very relaxed vibe. Beautiful scenery. Make sure you stock well for food as not much available nearby, but this is no problem as Arthur the driver stops in port villa supermarket on the way over, he even provides an Esky. Thanks for a great stay.

My husband is from Vanuatu and I have been in and out of the country for 11 years. We've stayed in many places across the country. Whispering Palms is one of the absolute best options around. The location, the service, and the accommodation are all above and beyond what you will find elsewhere in Vanuatu. But what Whispering Palms does best is focus on the little details that truly show the people are focused on providing the best hospitality they can - including little things like feminine hygiene products and fresh flowers to brighten an already exquisite room. We will absolutely be staying there again. I also have to give a big shoutout to the women taking care of the place. We booked last minute and they made the place spotless in a short amount of time, and they absolutely brightened our days every time we saw them being the kindest, most helpful women. Thank you!

We had a fantastic time here, the bungalow and beach it is on is absolutely stunning. This was the perfect place to getaway to.

I highly recommend picking up some meat from Sama Sama store to BBQ and groceries from somewhere since when we were there the nearby restaurant options were few, and extremely expensive (like $80 AUD for a fish burger, some prawns and 2 drinks).

Whispering Palms was our favourite place to stay on Efate.

We enjoyed a week at this beautiful location. The Villa is in perfect condition, everything works, everything is provided and the stafF are friendly and helpful. The snorkeling out the front is excellent, particularly at high tide with lots of turtle about. The free kayaks are also useful as an alternative to snorkeling.
Best place to shop prior to arrival is the large Bon Marche in Pangolin.

Amazing experience wish we had booked for longer. Make sure you bring groceries and renting a car makes it much easier to get out and explore. Best side of the island for sure. Team at whispering palms were extremely helpful and accomodating, allowing us to have a beach fire the room was super clean and well payed out. 10/10 recommend

We spent 3 nights in the beach house and loved every minute. We loved that the caretakers & manager were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable for our stay. Being woken up by the sunrise was amazing. An experience you would never forget. Highly Recommend Thankyou Whispering Palms

Stayed for a fantastic 3 nights in the Deluxe Villa. Totally stunning with amazing facilities and views. We saw turtles and dolphins whilst kayaking and plenty of fish and coral whilst snorkelling. Marcello (the owner) was amazing when we needed to move the booking at short notice due to another trip being cancelled, and the warmth and welcome we got from the local caretakers was incredible. Highly recommend.

I had a lovely few days at the Whispering Palms with my family last week. We took over the place and had it to ourselves. The welcome we got from the staff when we arrived was wonderful. The location on Undine Bay is spectacular and the accommodation itself, very comfortable and represents excellent value for money. The children and adults made excellent use of the kayaks and paddleboard. We managed to see a couple of large turtles but unfortunately not any dolphins. It is a totally relaxing destination in every way imaginable. We are now planning our next visit.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay at Whispering Palms. Everything was perfect from check in with the lovely Sylvie and Peter to checkout.except we didn't want to leave!

Absolutely loved it. We are struggling being home- missing the sound of the waves, being able to just walk out the door to snorkel and just the overall vibe of the place. Cindy, Sylvie, John, Peter & Arthur and all the locals were so helpful & informative. Would love to recommend but then that would mean we could miss out on staying again if booked out.
The only critisicm I would say is that the fridge could be upgraded

Can’t recommend Whispering Palms enough. Waking up every morning to the most perfect, idyllic location was absolute paradise. We used the kayaks, stand up paddle board and snorkel gear to explore the beautiful coral reefs right out the front - at no extra charge (unlike most of Vanuatu). The villa was comfortable and had a great kitchen and lounge area to relax while listening to the sound of the waves. A close drive to all the best tourist spots in Vanuatu - Blue Lagoon, waterfalls, top rock, etc. The staff from the local village were amazing, they taught us about their culture, brought us coconuts and accommodated us in every way possible throughout our stay. Overall an easy 5 star stay, we didn’t want to leave. If you’re visiting Vanuatu, Whispering Palms is a must! Highly recommend

Fantastic location to spend time amd relax. 2 families booked out the 3 villas. Swam, snorkelled, relaxed and enjoyed the view. Great communication from the hosts prior to arrival and during our stay. Highly recommend!

What a magical place. From the communication to the staff to the locale to the fitout of the villa, everything was lovely. Amazing spot to spend a few days, friendly staff who were so helpful, this was a wonderful place, highly recommend

Pristine coral reef 5 big steps from deck, this location is the best we have every stayed in in Vanuatu, easily comparable to to AU and NZ batches, with all amenities you could ask for.
The owner has gone out of his way to ensure a high quality of accommodation right down the Nespresso machine. The compendium provided was extensive and any questions were in it, along with helpful advice.
As far as the snorkelling goes this was easily on par or better than the Great Barrier reef, With almost every reef fish possible, topped off with giant clams Dugons and dolphins.
About 40min from Port Villa, it was an easy trip to pop into town and get groceries, which included the best veal and rib eye at low prices (Compared to NZ!).

Facilities and location excellent, 5 metres from pristine waters, accommodation excellent.highly recomend

Whispering Palms is wonderful! We stayed 5 nights in the boathouse which is the smallest of the 3 bungalows, well equipped & totally perfect for 2 adults & 2 kids. The other two bungalows are gorgeous as well.
The snorkeling straight off the beach is incredible, some of the best we've done. We saw tonnes of turtles & dolphins every day we were there. There is an afternoon breeze that picks up so early kayaking at sun rise is the best.
Silvie & John are wonderful, they looked after all our needs & super friendly.
There is a DVD player but not a huge selection of (kids) movies so would recommend bringing a few for the evenings. There was WiFi but not actually in our bungalow but I think they are working on that.
This place is awesome, highly recommend.:)

Am a local resident living in Port Vila and although I've been here for awhile now and been to most places here on Efate, I've never thought a place like whispering palms exist on this beautiful island. Myself and my friends were there just recently over the weekend for two nights and couldn't be more happier to be staying in such a beautiful villa. It's one of those place you'd never regret visiting. The Villa's are beautiful, safe and secure with hot water system installed, kayaks, stand up paddle boats and of course the fire pit to enjoy with drinks on the beach after sunset. We' stayed at the boat house which is the Villa right on the water front. Such a beautiful Villa with a very nice view and to whoever is planning to visit Efate, i highly recommend whispering palms as the best place to go to for a family holiday or solo weekend. You will love it. Thank you Marcello for a wonderful stay at your villa. We loved it and will come for another visit again soon.

Can't get any closer to water. Place to getaway from it all and just relax.
