Jungle cafe reviews
26 Wifi inside is good. Gluten free brownie was ok. Coffee is terrible, there’s much better coffee at other cafes. Smoothies taste like fruits blended in water. With ice.
Staff were nice but forgot to put our order in, we had to remind them. Another time we went they messed up our order and another time what we ordered wasn’t available which they told us later then still tried to charge us for it.
Big portions. Decent food. Free WiFi, if you are a paying customer. They accept credit cards.
I would say this has to be the worst food, coffee & service that I have experienced. I ordered poached eggs with toast & I got overcooked, smashed eggs that tasted like vinegar, with 2 slices of toast & enough butter to butter half a slice. The coffee was terrible & being of European background I think I know a good coffee from a really really bad one. This was worse than really really bad! Then I have the service, WOW, girls, smile, have a personality and at least pretend to enjoy what your doing, so miserable! All in all most the food went back except for maybe the half slice of bread & butter. The coffee was left except for maybe a quarter of it. The only good thing was they had free wifi. AVOID AVOID AVOID and save your money!
We had some time to burn during our visit to Port villa so we popped into this Cafe and were seated straight away in air conditioned room. We enjoyed cold drinks and food off the specials menu and were all pleasantly surprised with how tasty it was. The double cheese burger and chicken wraps were very nice and reasonably priced. We would definitely visit again.
Would have to be one of the best places in Port Vila to get good coffee. Excellent feed with daily lunch specials.
Bit overpriced for the portion size. Coconut was half empty but tbh good vibe and good food
This was my second time visiting Port Vila, and second stop to Jungle Cafe.
What I can say, is the Lime juice is still as good as it was years ago!
We dripped by earlier in the day for some fresh juices (Lime juice 300VT, fresh Pineapple juice 400VT) before setting out for the day.
After returning from a day tour, we stopped by for a late lunch.
We ordered the organic beef cheeseburger with side of fries, a steak sandwich, a Lime juice and fresh Pineapple juice.
The food came out rather quickly and tasted delicious and fresh. The steak sandwich was tasty, and rather tender for a steak sandwich. Plenty of salad and sauce which was good to see.
All up, I believe it was 2660VT for the entire meal.
At the rear, they have an air-conditioned room for those to escape the heat.
They also offer free WiFi for those diners eating in. Just ask the friendly staff for the password.
All in all, if I ever visit Port Vila again, I know where I'll be stopping by for a Lime juice or a bite to eat.
One of the best cheese cakes I've ever tasted. Vegetarian omelette was good. Basic but quick.
Beer warm both days NOT GOOD food ok would look elsewhere for COLD beer
Said we can put it in freezer after openi g come back later good place to avoid only plus they had fee wifi
Friendly staff who readily listen and offer best advice on how to explore and enjoy local amending cultural experience.
A really lovely little cafe in the heart of Port Vila! I tried their smoked beef and cheese croissant and it was absolutely delightful! Their coffee is also very good. For the quality of the food, service, and it’s location, it’s very affordable. Highly recommend.
This happened to be the first place we ate in after arriving in Port Vila and we have returned there multiple times. Nice open atmosphere, friendly service and good food. Great place to stop and have a bite while walking through the downtown area.
This cafe is fantastic. I ordered a vege omelette and a latte with almond milk. Impressed they had almond milk for a starter and also pressed with the aircon room out the back, with water views. The latte came out super fast and the omelette not long after. Piping hot, massive and delicious. The prices are good and the staff lovely.
We had the veggie curry and the veggie wrap. It wasn’t amazing but it’s reasonable (quantity and taste) for the price (1100VT each).
Went there for breakfast. We had to go get the waitress cause nobody was taking our order. Tasteless cakes, mocha way to sugary, eggs and sausages badly cooked with low quality bread, all for the same price as a brunch in Sydney. 2 Stars cause it was still edible. Basically, Don't go there for breakfast!
By far the best burger place in Port Vila. Try their Jungle Burger, trust me you'll be stuffed once you're done with it. It's got a very relax and classic dinning area and you can even dine at the back where you can see parts of the market, seawall and Iririki Island.
What a great find! Their fish burger is delicious!
Their toasted sandwiches really tasty and the club sandwich also great! Oh also had the main grilled poulet fish which was great too! Tried so many things and never had a bad thing. Yum!
I have been to this place twice, once fours years ago. The first time the food was fine, this time it was very bad. Overall it has a good menu, multipke options for mains, sides and desserts. It also has good coffee. However, we ordered fish and chips and fried chicken and chips. The chips were anaemic looking and limp. The fish was undercooked, decidely raw but with overdone batter. The chicken thankfully was cooked, but dry and again the batter was overdone. The meals just seemed to lack care and attention and it wasn't that busy. I hope it improves as it is central, very clean, and convenient for a quick bite to eat.
With the in town view and busy street. Just across the major government building with most of the popular department.
Great place for coffee and lime juice.
I needed to eat and drink after spending over an hour in the market. Plus I wanted to share photos on Facebook.
Jungle Cafe coaster free wifi and an air conditioned room at the rear. Just what I needed.
I ordered my drink and snack (which were okay just nothing to rave about) and made my way to the enclosed room that semi overlooks the water.
Alas it wasn’t air conditioned today it was just a fan. I logged into the network and couldn’t download any mail, any social media, not even my upcoming trip information.
As someone who travels a lot, eats out slot and reviews a lot.m, this is a familiar occurrence globally. I had better internet connection in Vietnam in 2009 than I’ve had in Spain, UK, Mexico and even Australia. Many of the Pacific Islands are similarly poor for network.
So alas not only counting on a cool room and internet disappointing, I meant I couldn’t confirm my trip and missed out! Good network = better tourism!
Note: place is wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly with high chair available. Staff were nice.
