Jills cafe reviews
19Coffee great, service quick BUT can the owner teach staff how to smile.all sooo miserable.
We went here for breakfast and tried all the sweet options: French toast, blueberry pancakes, and waffles. It was pretty standard as far as American breakfast goes. There are other options like omelettes though if you prefer savory. We were also told that the lunch and dinner menu were available, even at 10: 30a. There were some things missing on the menu, so if there’s something you want in particular make sure to go earlier.
American and Mexican fare available. So quite a few options, but nothing traditional to Vanuatu. Good place to stop for expats if you’re missing something from home.
This is not a traditional place to drop in and enjoy the local tastes. It is an American style care which does it very well. Good variety of food, from Mexican to hot dogs and I enjoyed the food. Straight off the high street so it is well located although parking is not easy. Go round the back and pay to make it simple. A lot of the food is home made (tortillas chips, wrap etc) which is great. Yeah the interior is a bit tacky and not perfect but for a simple meal it was very enjoyable and tasty!
Wifi cuts out all the time and was the slowest of all the cafes we’ve tried here. The coffee was weak, watery and not at all like other coffees elsewhere here in Port Vila.
The big breakfast was possibly one of the worst we’ve had anywhere.
Staff were nice but I would recommend one of the other places to eat.
Great breakfast spot in Port Villa! Very Aussie/American styled food. Great coffee for vanuatu! It's definitely worth popping into here for a brekky feed on your trip.
Good selection of foods, reasonably priced. Can recommend the fresh banana thick shake. Opposite the playground and close to markets. 4 instead of 5 stars because they ran out of fries (? !) meaning we got rice instead
If you go to Port Vila and you don't go to Jill's Cafe then you're missing out on a fabulous experience. The ladies who work there are the friendliest people on earth, the food is consistently good, and it's conveniently located in the middle of town.
Incredible food and drinks, all fresh and tasty, lovely service too! Highly recommend! The fresh icey lemonade is to die for especially alongside Jill’s burger with Jill’s special sauce 10/10 stars
Love the hospitality with friendly staffs. Neat place compared to Chinese restaurants with quality food.
A great place for lunch. The nachos was tasty and more than I could eat. The service was super friendly and the prices very reasonable for Port Vila.
Very expensive food for what it is; overcooked, bland and low quality western meals. Our group sampled the burgers, hot dogs and Mexican dishes and they all consisted of the same beef mince sauce. The beef patties were so dry that one of us choked trying to swallow it. Also to charge over $10 AUD for a jug of very diluted lemon juice is a farce.
Service was good, milkshake ok, food was just plain, no volcano in the volcano chilli, average.
We'd eaten at Jill's on our first visit to Vanuatu and liked the food, so we were keen to come back. The cheesy beefy nachos hit the spot, and a single serving was plenty for both of us. The thickshakes were as delicious as we'd remembered!
Strong and very reasonable coffee for Port Vila. Large and spacious and a fantastic central location with views of the water.
Service is friendly and attentive.
Breakfast burrito is fantastic, the right flavours, fresh vegetables, plus a few sides.
Price is reasonable, tho very much western prices, with that said, the food is high quality and kitchen visible and clean. Definitely coming back here!
This is an excellent place to have a nice bite and talk about the island. It’s past and current times are easily caught up through chat here with the owner.
Nothing pretentious. It's a great place for a basic American inspired meal. Menu is plentiful and prices super reasonable. All meals enjoyed. Was busy but service was quick and efficient. Pay at the counter on the way out. A good reliable eatery worth a visit if you arr walking along the foreshore or main highway.
Like the service, love the food especially their burgers (big & tasty)!:) *One of my favorite places
Good food, fair prices. Can get really hot, but so can everywhere here. Have returned and would return again. Try a banana thickshake.
In the main street of Port Vila, it's easy to find. The food is pretty good and seems to get alot of patrons. Was surprised that another traveller told me that their meal wasn't that great. Certainly the chips aren't like you'd get in Australia - bit mushy. The prices are consistent with most other cafes and restaurants in Port Vila. Read a review to try the banana thickshake and yep it was pretty good.
There is a playground right nearby which is good for the kiddies.
Came here one morning for coffee - not bad. Not Melbourne coffee, but not bad.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good portion sizes. Staff are lovely and very helpful.
