Fatumaru Lodge

Great location and service with rooms opening up onto the bay. 5 minute walk to shops and a collection of fantastic restaurants (Au Fare was our personal favourite) and 10 minutes into town. Port Vila can get quite busy but the Lodge is set away from the road so always feels peaceful while still being close to everything. Very attentive staff and an amazing breakfast made from the freshest ingredients. Highly recommended.

Our studio room was absolute beachfront with gorgeous views across Fatumaru Bay. It was neat and clean with everything you’d expect to find in a 3 star studio room. Breakfast, served by the pool, consisted of fabulously fresh fruit and croissants. Nothing was too hard for the friendly and attentive staff. It’s a short 5 minute walk to the Tana Russet shopping plaza and several great restaurants including Reefers, Au Fare and Stonegrill. From there it’s about another 10 minutes along the beachfront into town. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Lovely and helpful staff. The rooms are great and the setting is beautiful. It is very easy to get into the center of Vila from here

Amazing place to stay. The pool was clean and kid friendly.

We didn't have hot water due to the huge storm and they let us use the room next door as we had two kids with us.

Highly recommend and will be back. Also it's a great location

What a fantastic place to stay in Port Vila! The hotel staff are so friendly & helpful. Special thanks to Jane who are very accommodating to our needs as we have a baby with us. The man at the reception is simply the best. He helped us to compare tour prices & planned trips using taxi hire. Location is perfect as it is close to shops & nice restaurants. We stay at the top level apartment with stunning views. Where are you going to get such a good price for a 180 sqm family home away from home with an upmarket kitchen & massive balcony. We love Vanuatu because of the service & lovely staff at Fatumaru.

We stayed in Fatumaru Lodge for almost 2 weeks. Perfect location - about 10 minutes walk to the town and a great choice of eateries in walking distance as well. The rooms are nice and view over lagoon is fantastic! Kids enjoyed the pool and watching crabs and sea stars on the little beach.

Even after reporting problems with the room to the Manager, one of them being that the fridge door wouldn't close, hadn't been attended to over our 5 day stay. We had to push a chair up against it.
First issue the booking was specifically for two separate beds mother/son, but there was only one. Another slat bed was brought in. Television no reception of channels or access to Netflix etc. It took until 3rd day for an appropriate connection to be brought up. Cold water tap in bathroom couldn't be turned off fully. Breakfast serving staff lovely. Issues with management.

Beautiful property. We had rooms that faced the ocean so we could go straight from the patio for a swim. Staff were all lovely. We really enjoyed the pool, free access to kayaks and can’t go past the hammock! Also really close to the airport and Tana Russet plaza nearby came in handy when we wanted some take away food or coffee.

Shower doesn’t stop dripping, no aircon, ant infestation, thin walls and for one night there were locals jumping in and yelling at 3 am in the pool being ignorant and trying their best to make as much noise as possible

Only stayed one night either end of our trip because very close to airport.

Spent 8 night here for my honeymoon. Great little apartment. So close to Port Vila. We walked into the market everyday and got fresh veg from the local stalls and cooked in our room. Amazing view from the balcony. Lots of things close by. The hotel staff were also great at addressing any issues that arose and helping to book taxi's and provide local knowledge.

Only issue was they allow smoking. We raised the issue after we had smokers next door and the smoke was wafting in. They didn't put smokers next to us again. I recommended checking with them pre booking to make sure they can accommodate this.

What a beautiful place, we stayed on the waterfront and it was amazing to wake up to the view and the sounds if the water

Great staff, so very helpful and friendly. The facilities are kept in great condition.

Very peaceful and relaxing. Location is great easy walk to restaurants and the French bakery.

I travel through out the pacific regularly and this is my favourite place to stay of any of the Pacific Islands.

Nice and quiet could do with a renovation very dull interior could be brighter looking very tired in places

Great few nights spent here. The bed and room was extremely comfortable and the place was so peaceful with only a handful of rooms. The pool and setting felt more like Bali. We had the breakfast from the hotel which was very yummy, and again so very relaxing as it was bought to you by the pool. Very close to the airport if you are starting or ending your trip. Only small downsides; hairdryer was awful (I know, but everything else was SO nice, felt odd), there is a stocked fridge, no bar and you have to go up to reception to ask for things, so that also means no food.and finally, not that this is any way controllable but i got bitten alive so take LOTS of mossie repellent.

Beautiful place to stay when you visit Vanuatu. Amazing staff and great rooms with an exceptional view.

Came here for a 5-day holiday. The hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. We were in the seafront room with a beautiful view facing the water and trees - listening to the waves while falling asleep is quite an experience:)

The hotel also provided kayaks, paddle boards and fishing equipment for guests who wanted to have a go. We enjoyed all of them. Thanks for making our holiday a blast!

Great little place to stay. On the edge of town, out of hustle and bustle but a short walk to a great French bakery and a little further to town.

One of my favourites in Port Vila. The beach side rooms are amazing. Wake up with great views and private beach. Friendly staff.
