Cafe Du Village reviews
34Came highly recommended, unfortunately it seems to be closed for good (at least that’s what people at the hotel reception next door said), hence the one star to flag it up to avoid disappointment in case you put all bets on coming here the evening (as we did).
I recently visited a waterfront cafe that left a lasting impression on me. The cafe offered a stunning view of the water, with boats sailing by and seagulls flying overhead. The outdoor seating area was perfectly situated to take in the picturesque scenery and provided a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy my meal.
Speaking of the meal, the cafe's bacon and cheese sandwich was out of this world. The bread was toasted to perfection, and the bacon and cheese were melted to create a delicious blend of flavors. It was a perfect lunchtime treat, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the cafe.
What really stood out to me was the combination of great food and an unbeatable view. The cafe had done an excellent job of creating an ambiance that complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would gladly visit the cafe again to enjoy both the view and the delicious food.
We are first time on this island, enjoyed our last day lunch at Le Café du Village. The property definitely is the remains of the original of French, just on the pier opposite Iririki Island. Staffs are so friendly and welcoming, the food was great…chef came out to say hello, very nice. It’s an epic.
So, I had a really good dish of bangers and mash, at a French restaurant, in Vanuatu. But, it was really good.
Our family of 6 dined here 2nd January 2023. Do not dine here. The rump steak was the toughest I've eaten in 76 years.
But the big problem was they gave the 3 of us who had icecream food poisoning. There is no doubt at all. Later I left a message with the staff. I was completely ignored by management.
I repeat. DO NOT DINE HERE
Perfect meal with an amazing view. Attentive service and reasonably priced. Can't wait to get back.
Went there with group of friends while on cruise port day for the coconut crab, they have a displayed live crab for whatever reason they can only serve the frozen crabs, ordered 2 crab 1.7 and 1.8 kg cost $aud 310 that's pricey, the local driver gave us a surprise look! Cooking technic ok but the crabs texture a bit rough and not as good as mud crab in Aussie. We also ordered 2 stubbie beer and a can of soft drink cost $AUD 25 which is also costly.
Close to water and waitress are friendly are a plus.
My family & friends dined here 4th January during a cruise ship visit. Having visited Vanuatu over 10 times this lunch was probably the best meal I’ve had in Port Vila. The staff went out of their way to accommodate dietary requests. The view is stunning looking over the water and prices are reasonable. Will absolutely be coming back!
Finally a cafe/restaurant with ambience in Port Vila. Nice French inspired decor and music in a cool building. Outside seating options with good local menu
Went for dinner and food was flavorful and great presentation. Servers were friendly and helpful and overall an excellent dining experience.
Dinner at sunset in this exquisite location with dear friends- perfect! I had the beef fillet, it was numbawan! Vanuatu beef is delicious We also loved the lime crushed ice drinks, the ultimate refreshment in Vanuatu's sultry heat. Tanku tamas!
A truly beautiful restaurant with the best harbour views in Port Vila.
We ordered the seafood platter and it was the BEST of my life! All of the food was cooked fresh and to top it all off.freshly caught that day. Incredible!
After visiting Vanuatu multiple times, this has consistently been the best restaurant in Port Vila. The freshest food, best views and location, and the staff are amazing and attentive.
There is no better place, I cannot recommend enough
I would give this restaurant 6* if I could!
Had a late lunch there several times, could not fault it, will definitely go back on our next visit to Vanuatu.
Unfortunately it was a bad experience. The wait was more than one hour and when the order finally came they said that half of my order couldn't come. My two boys ordered hamburger and lasagne and they wait until last moment when brining the other half of order to said that they were running out of bread for the hamburger and meat for the lasagne. They easily suggested fish and chips for the boys. In that eternal wait we all get bit for the mosquitos. Terrible experience at this place.
Excellent dining right on the water's edge of a lovely harbour. I had the whole bream fish (which was absolutely delicious) while I watched a stunning sunset. Prices are pretty reasonable for such excellent food, and the staff are super friendly, helpful and efficient.
Great service and great food, prepare to wait a little. All good things come to those who wait…
We ordered the tuna, mahi-mahi, quesadillas and the apple crumble and they were all very good! The owners are lovely and always come by to check on customers & the view is gorgeous and it’s so peaceful.
Great view, lovely coffee, however we ordered the green mussels and steak. We didn't really enjoy them. Our bill came to $90 AUD.
It’s a cozy little restaurant with a great view on Iririki island. The staff is friendly and professional, the steak and the prawn noodles we had were delicious!
